TIA Clinic

This rapid assessment clinic allows urgent investigation of transient focal neurological disorders suggestive of ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA).  

• in-hospital or external referrals (patients living in the Montreal area)

• streamlined wait times according to urgency of consult (appointments usually within 24-48 hours of referral)

• access corridor for same-day neurovascular investigations (Brain MRI, CT-angiography, Echocardiography, Holter, Blood tests)

• Full consultation and investigation results sent the same day to the referring physician 

Important note

• If symptoms are persisting or if they occurred within the last 48h, urgent referral to nearest emergency department is recommended
